  • The ultra high performance Thermal Grizzly Minus Pads have a highly flexible surface with very high thermal conductivity and a consistency similar to kneading mass.
  • Even the smallest differences in the components can be compensated very well. This means that the pads always ensure optimum heat transfer. Even the slightest pressure is sufficient for optimum fastening.

General information

Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad Extreme is a thermal pad made of modified silicone that is best suited for electrical components such as PCs, notebooks, LED or LCD devices, semiconductors or transformers. It is also used for RAM, CPUs or GPUs. In general, it can be used for any component that uses a metal housing as a heat sink. Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad Extreme is currently available in the following sizes: 100 mm x 100 mm and 120 mm x 20 mm and thickness between 0.5 and 3 mm.

The Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad Extreme can operate seamlessly over a temperature range of -100°C to +200°C, making it ideal for configurations with extremely demanding applications and also ideal for industrial environments. It is ideal for water cooling and components exposed to OC.

The Minus Pad Extreme features even higher compressibility and elasticity as well as dielectric properties.

Applications:

When the Minus Pad Extreme is removed, there are significantly fewer scratches on component surfaces. Applications: Motherboard chipset, memory modules, graphics card memory and core, notebooks.

  1. Description: The Thermal Grizzly minus pad extreme is a ultra high performance thermal pad with excellent thermal conductivity and properties to fill air gaps and uneven surfaces between heat source and heatsink.
  2. Properties: The thermal pad is silicone based with modelling clay like consistency. This allows a perfect surface shaping with maximum possible compression. The minus pad extreme is electrically insulating. Due to the consistency only one-time use is recommended. The thermal conductivity was improved by about 260 % over the minus pad 8 which allows best cooling for tough cooling operations such as voltage regulators and memory ICs.
  3. Storage: Store in original packaging, in a dry environment at room temperature.

    The vram on my Vega64 is now much cooler and the map is even more overclockable. That’s how it must!
    Note there is only one strip in the package and you need a good pair of scissors to cut all this.

    If the Ps4 gets loud, it’s time to take a closer look at the cooling. Normally, the cheap thermal paste dries out and the cooling pads on the memory chips that come from the factory aren’t much good. Unfortunately, savings were definitely made in the wrong places. The existing conductive pads were replaced by Thermal Grizzly Pads, the HDMI chip was also glued directly (uncooled ex works) and at the same time the old thermal paste on the CPU was replaced with new ones from Thermal Grizzly and it’s already running the Playse is as quiet as never before. Of course, the thermal paste and pads also provide the best service for PCs or other surfaces whose heat is to be dissipated to something else. I can only recommend them.

    Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad 8 in 120x20x3mm fits perfectly with Asus Strixx Vega 56. I bought the Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad 8 in 120x20x3mm, as well as the Thermal Grizzly Minus Pad 8 in 30x30x2mm and the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal paste to reduce the temperatures on my ASUS STRIXX ROG RX Vega 56 to lower. With the original pads from ASUS, the temperatures of the voltage converters went up to 116°C quite quickly in the Superposition benchmark in 1080p on Extreme, which led to a throttling of the performance, which is why I decided to replace the thermal pads and the thermal paste of the graphics card to swap. This also worked without any problems and drastically reduced the temperatures to a maximum of 80°C for the GPU and HBM2, and to 90°C for the voltage converters. These temperatures were only reached after running the superposition benchmark 5 times in a row in 1080p on extreme, so they shouldn’t occur in practice. I’m very satisfied with the result, even if the products from Thermal Grizzly are anything but cheap.

    Great support. First delivery was unfortunately lost, replacement followed promptly. The grizzly were also already changed in 1mm in my ps4 ddr plus kyronaut paste for apu. Fan runs on the first fan stage even at Killzone after a few cooling and heat phases.

    I bought these thermal pads because they are often described as very good and often praised. The thermal pads also cost more than other thermal paste and since I’ve never had them before, I wanted to test them with my RTX 2080 graphics card. It’s a water-cooled system and the graphics card comes from the factory with an original water cooler from EK Water Blocks. They are also very soft and therefore adapt very well. So at first I had the feeling that they must be really, really good. However, the result was very disappointing afterwards. Because after I replaced the original thermal pads from EK Water Blocks on my graphics card and started my system, I could not start a single game. The graphics card clocked down so much that a game could no longer be loaded. This was because the voltage converters got so hot that the graphics card clocked down on its own so that the voltage converters didn’t get too hot. Had to disassemble the graphics card again and warm everything up with a hair dryer so that the thermal pads become softer and the chips can be put together when the graphics card is assembled push in. Then it worked again with the start of the games. But I will use the original thermal pads again because the water temperature is weirdly 2 degrees lower and it seems to me that less heat is being transferred. I expected more from these thermal pads. You have to be particularly careful with thermal pads because e.g. voltage converters and VRams have no temperature spend and you can not see if they are well cooled.

    Temperature cooled down from 108 to 80.
    Now I can over clock even more with fans at 80%.
    I bought 2 of 2mm and 2 of 3mm.
