Product Description
Efficient, in-house developed pump
We went to great lengths to develop the water pump. The result is greatly reduced humming and higher efficiency. Like the other components, the pump is also PWM controlled. This leads to a significantly lower noise level at low and typical loads, but also to much lower power consumption, with a maximum of of 0.7 W at no load, 2.1 W under normal load and a maximum of 3.4 W under full load for the entire AiO.
Premium class radiator
Unlike most other all-in-one liquid cooling manufacturers, we rely on 38 mm thick radiators with a high fin density. This means that a larger amount of water can be used in the circuit, and the cooling surface can be significantly increased.
Water has a much higher heat capacity than aluminum or copper. This leads to a slower and up to 5 ° C lower temperature increase in the temporary turbo mode of modern CPUs.
Smooth VRM fan
Small fans have a reputation for being particularly loud and not very durable. However, we have developed a quiet and durable diagonal fan especially for the Liquid Freezer II and are 100% convinced that this 40 mm fan is just as durable as our other case fans. In the unlikely event that it should fail, ARCTIC will send you a replacement free of charge and easily, without a need to replace the entire unit.
The fan is PWM-controlled and can cool your voltage transformers and the base area almost inaudibly by over 10 ° C. This is especially effective in overclocking scenarios, inadequate VRM cooling or in housings with poor airflow, thus permitting continuously high loads. If sufficient VRM cooling is available, it can be switched off at will.
High quality hoses with integrated cable management
The fiber-reinforced, long EPDM tubing of the Liquid Freezer II enables installation even in large cases and effectively prevents the cooling liquid from evaporating, so that you do not have to worry about refilling the compact water cooling system.
It also hides the cables of your radiator fans thanks to sophisticated cable management. So you only have to connect a plug to the mainboard, saving valuable time during installation. In the end, you won’t need to hide any more cables and your view is reduced to just the essentials.

Compatibility with LGA1700
The Liquid Freezer II 280 is compatible with Intel’s new Alder lake processors. Even if the socket and heat-spreader are larger compared to the predecessor, the CPU surface has been reduced and remains centered. The Liquid Freezer II cooler completely covers this area.
*Unfortunately, we cannot ensure that only compatible products are available for you to purchase on the open market. For this reason, we are supplying the required mounting kit free of charge to customers who submit proof of purchase of a processor with LGA1700 socket. Alternatively, you can purchase the mounting kit under the product designation “ARCTIC Intel LGA1700 Upgrade Kit – For Liquid Freezer II Series”.

This thing keeps my I7-12700k running cool even under torture tests and even with the radiator set as exhaust, not intake. The fans are surprisingly quiet, making about as much noise as my Be Quiet Silent Wings 3 front fans. When at 100% they’re definitely noticeable, but under normal operation (gaming, video editing) they’re essentially inaudible and only occasionally ‘speak up’ when I’m exporting my 1440p video, and even then it’s almost entirely the sound of wind, not the fan bearings. You’ve heard the hype. Believe it.

Ultra Quiet and Provides Super Cooling. Consistently rated as a top performer by PC experts. The fans are very quiet even when providing max cooling. Under Prime95, this AIO kept our Ryzen 9 5900x under 75C at close to 100% CPU usage. Extremely well built. The only drawback in our setup is that we couldn’t top mount install it. It’s very thick and wouldn’t fit with the RAM in place. Works great, nevertheless, on the front of the case.

Can’t do better for an AIO. Absolutely phenomenal performing AIO. Keeps my CPU a nice crisp cool. Super affordable, would be nice if they out just one white light around the Arctic logo just to make it look a little classier so to speak but not complaining at all.

I am happy with this product. ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 280 is quiet and keeps my cpu cool. I had one problem though. It comes with two sets of mounting screws of different lengths, for different motherboards, in the same package and they are not marked, so I did not know which set of mounting screws to use. In the end, I chose the shorter length mounting screws and they were the correct ones. To the manufacturer. Put the “Standoffs” mounting screws, in separate little baggies and label them to show which motherboard to use them on.

Great cooler at a good price. Trustworthy brand. 6 Yr. warranty.I spent a leisurely hour installing this 280mm Version 4 cooler on my Ryzen 9 5950X PC in my Lian Li Lancool II case. the only place it would fit was front mounted which worked out great! I had the fans in front pushing air in through the radiator. I also have 2 Arctic 140mm fans blowing out the top and a 120mm for the rear. Using PBO overclock and load testing with CPU-Z Stress test it would not go higher than 71 Degrees C. Very happy with this result and a 6 Yr. warranty is just frosting on the cake. This is my 4th Arctic Liquid Cooler and they’ve never let me down. The other 3 were all 240mm. I felt I needed to go up a size to deal with a 16 core monster to use it at max. performance. I’m using an ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming motherboard. Some reviewers have mentioned a clearance problem if mounting in the offset mode on this board. Yes, it was close but there was a tiny bit of clearance between the cap’s and the mounting plate. BTW – the difference in surface area between the 360mm and 280mm is only about 10%. I was lucky I got this on sale at the same price I paid for my 240mm Arctic last year. Highly recommended.

Beats my previous Corsair H110i GT 280mmThis is one amazing AIO cooler. Hands down the Liquid Freezer II lineup beats all CPU coolers, air or liquid, on the market as of November 2019. Allowed me to achieve 5.1Ghz on my 9700K @ 1.38V Prime95 Stable @ 85C max whereas my previous H110i GT crashed at 98C with only 5.1Ghz @ 1.39V. I had to keep it at 5.0Ghz @ 1.35V. This cooler has totally exceeded my expectations and really did allow me that extra overclock. Crazy that it even helped me achieve a higher clock at lower voltage. I think because it cools the VRMs much better. I see VRM temps over 15C cooler so this VRM cooler on the CPU block really works. Seriously the best AIO you can get for your money.

Preformance on par with NH-D14 ; Painful INSTALLATIONno screws provided to run push+pull config (arctic believes its unnecessary).ran a couple degrees hotter on the cpu when compared to a noctua d14 but allowed vrm, m.2 ssd, and gpu to run cooler due to the freed up room. (intake provided by 2 ek vadar fans). ran more silent than nh-d14.pump is silent (installed as top exhaust), fans are pre-daisy chained to each other so only 1 connector for pump and 2 fans.EXTREMELY PAINFUL INSTALLATION, back plate is affixed by the cooler itself. ergo when you are trying to screw on the cooler, you are likely or guaranteed to push out the back-plate. if you use both hands then you run the risk of not applying even pressure on the CPU, causing uneven thermal paste. So either get a 2nd person to hold the back-plate steady while you screw on the cooler, or duck tape the plate too the motherboard to hold it in place.installation 100% easier if the board is not inside the case, just dont bend the hose too much.

Exceeded expectations. The cooling has exceeded my expectations and the noise levels are also very low. Definitely a buy. Also, check that it will fit your case as the thickness of the cooler is also large.

Rattling sound/loose part inside the pumpWhen I was about to mount the pump on the cpu, I notice a rattling sound, as if there was a loose screw/part inside the pump. I didn’t dare install it.

More than worth it.Just remember this is a very thick and wide unit. This makes the cooling much more effective without needing fans. Amazing device, Install PROPER (check arctic website for youtube videos) or it will have issues.

great AIOgreat AIO with PWM controlled fan, very quiet so far even under max load of the cpu, topping off at only 70c during max which is fantastic, idle is around 35c, fantastic AIO! if you don’t like RGB and want something better than NZXT look for this.

Mounting Hell (AM4)Many the mounting for AM4 is Atrocious on this and yes she is tight like a tiger I’m switching my fan placement so the 420 version that’s coming in will be at top and the 8 Gentle Typhoon fans in fan can draw in fresh air.
