ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240 CPU AIO Water Cooler LGA 1700 Kit included

(3 customer reviews)

Original price was: $187.99.Current price is: $159.99.

  • LGA1700 COMPATIBILITY: The Liquid Freezer II 240 is compatible with Intel’s new Alder Lake processors – Socket LGA1700*
  • COOLER THAN OTHER AIO WATER COOLERS: The ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II has a more efficient cool plate, pump and radiator that makes a difference among other AIO water pc fan coolers
  • 15°C LOWER VOLTAGE REGULATOR TEMPERATURE: An additional 40 mm VRM fan (PWM controlled) next to pump can provide extra cooling for the base and voltage transformer
  • INTEGRATED CABLE MANAGEMENT: The PWM-cable of the fans are integrated into the sleeved tubing. Thus there is only one short cable visible from the pump to motherboard replacing the usual cable mess
  • 80% LESS POWER CONSUMPTION: Unlike most pumps from our competitors, which run at full load even when idle, our pump clocks down consuming less power and producing less noise If no cooling is needed
  • MAINTENANCE-FREE WATER LOOP: The water loop is sealed and with high quality fiber-reinforce EPDM tubing you do not have to worry about refilling
  • EXTENDED WARRANTY: We now offer a 6-year warranty from the date of purchase on all Liquid Freezer II series coolers. The warranty extension also applies retroactively to previously purchased coolers

ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240 Product Description

ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240
Efficient, in-house developed pump

Efficient, in-house developed pump

We went to great lengths to develop the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240 water pump. The result is greatly reduced humming and higher efficiency. Like the other components, the pump is also PWM controlled. This not only leads to a significantly lower noise level at low and typical loads, but also to much lower power consumption. With a maximum of of 0.8 W at no load, 2.3 W under normal load and a maximum of 4.3 W under full load for the entire AiO.

Premium class radiator

Premium class radiator

Unlike most other all-in-one liquid cooling manufacturers, we rely on 38 mm thick radiators with a high fin density. This means that a larger amount of water can be used in the circuit, and the cooling surface can be significantly increased.

Water has a much higher heat capacity than aluminum or copper. This leads to a slower and up to 5 ° C lower temperature increase in the temporary turbo mode of modern CPUs.

Smooth VRM fan

Smooth VRM fan

Small fans have a reputation for being particularly loud and not very durable. However, we have developed a quiet and durable diagonal fan especially for the Liquid Freezer II and are 100% convinced that this 40 mm fan is just as durable as our other case fans. In the unlikely event that it should fail, ARCTIC will send you a replacement free of charge and easily, without a need to replace the entire unit.

The fan is PWM-controlled and can cool your voltage transformers and the base area almost inaudibly by over 10 ° C. This is especially effective in overclocking scenarios, inadequate VRM cooling or in housings with poor airflow, thus permitting continuously high loads. If sufficient VRM cooling is available, it can be switched off at will.

High quality hoses with integrated cable management

High quality hoses with integrated cable management

The fiber-reinforced, long EPDM tubing of the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240 enables installation even in large cases and effectively prevents the cooling liquid from evaporating, so that you do not have to worry about refilling the compact water cooling system.

It also hides the cables of your radiator fans thanks to sophisticated cable management. So you only have to connect a plug to the mainboard, saving valuable time during installation. In the end, you won’t need to hide any more cables and your view is reduced to just the essentials.

Compatibility with LGA1700

ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240 Compatibility with LGA1700

The Liquid Freezer II 240 is compatible with Intel’s new Alder lake processors. Even if the socket and heat-spreader are larger compared to the predecessor, the CPU surface has been reduced and remains centered. The Liquid Freezer II cooler completely covers this area.

*Unfortunately, we cannot ensure that only compatible products are available for you to purchase on the open market. For this reason, we are supplying the required mounting kit free of charge to customers who submit proof of purchase of a processor with LGA1700 socket. Alternatively, you can purchase the mounting kit under the product designation “ARCTIC Intel LGA1700 Upgrade Kit – For Liquid Freezer II Series”.

Great cooler performance. Came with incorrect partsKeeps my system cool even under full load at steady state. Offset mount didn’t fit my mother board due to interference with M.2 drive. My kit had the wrong AM4 screws however my Fractal Design case just so happened to have the correct Black screws to make it work.System:Ryzen 5 5600XGigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE AXRan about ~55K over ambient on multicore Cinebench R23 after about 11 minutes. CPU stayed in full boost the whole time with no throttle. Running stock power boost with Infinity fabric at 1800mhz. Runs quiet. Satisfied so far (running for about 3 weeks).

Amazing AIO, and reasonable priceSo I actually ordered this for my 3900XT, based of an in-depth review I saw on Gamers Nexus YT Channel. I was in the market for a new AIO to replace my cheap one I purchased a couple of years ago. Indeed so far it has been amazing, and idle temps have been sitting at around 33-35 degrees. I haven’t done any gaming as of yet, but I can already tell it won’t be a problem for the beefy cooler. Based on previous reviews I saw that the fans were prone to failure, but I replaced them with the ML120 I already had in my case. Beware the radiator for this cooler is very big, at least twice the size of my previous CM M240L, so it took me a while to fit into my case. Other than that it very quiet, and only ramps up rarely under load.

Worked perfectly with Ryzen 3700xMy 3700x is an annoying voltage sucker that revved up the fun in the most annoying way. This cooler was easy to install, came with all the correct parts (this was a concern with revision 3 and AMD early on), and works incredibly well.My CPU never hits 70C under load or torture. It is whisper silent. For what it’s worth, my VRMs are not in the mid 60s at the highest and the little VRM fan is dead silent. The only thing to be mindful of is the size of the radiator. I had to install this in the front of my case as an intake instead of the top because with the fans it wouldn’t fit. Make sure you have clearance above your VRM heatsink and ram.I would buy this again. In fact, had I known it would end up in the front of the case, I would have ordered the 280mm version. This also now comes with a 6 year warranty. Buy this cooler. You will not regret it.
